We thought it would be fun to bring some of that same feel to our newsletter and share a few things we're seeing, learning, and excited about.
The biggest thing we're seeing this summer? Dehydrated skin disguised as oily skin.
Many people assume they need stronger acne products when they're actually over-cleansing, spending more time in the sun, and not replacing hydration. When skin becomes dehydrated, it often produces more oil to compensate.
How often should I dermaplane?
For most people, every 4–6 weeks is ideal. That timing allows your skin to complete a natural cell turnover cycle while keeping peach fuzz and dead skin buildup under control. Doing it too often can lead to irritation, especially if you're using active skincare products like retinol or exfoliating acids.
Do I really need a separate eye cream?
Not necessarily, but the skin around your eyes is different from the rest of your face. It's thinner, more delicate, and often the first place to show signs of aging. A targeted eye cream can help address concerns like dryness, puffiness, dark circles, and fine lines more effectively than a traditional moisturizer.
Why does my spray tan fade on my chest first?
Your chest sees a lot of friction from clothing, seat belts, sleeping, sweat, and sunscreen. Perfume is another big one. Spraying it directly on your chest or neck can cause your tan to fade faster and become patchy.
Meet Tatum
If you've been in the spa lately, you've probably seen a new face around. Tatum recently graduated from the College of Hair Design and has officially started taking clients. She has been training behind the scenes with our team and is excited to continue growing her skills and building her clientele.
